Dr. Majid Altuwaijri
Managing Director and Middle East Health Lead, Accenture, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Dr. Majid is Accenture's Managing Director and Middle East Health Lead. Prior to joining Accenture, Majid was the CIO of the Saudi National Guard Health Affairs for 17 years, where his leadership led to the 2010 Middle East Excellence Award in Electronic Health. He led in 2006 the establishment of the Saudi Association for Health Informatics and chaired for Saudi e-Health conferences with more than 2500 participants from the Middle East.
An active researcher in the Health IT field with more than 25 publications in top journals, Majid holds a full professor academic rank at King Saud Health University, where he established the MS Program in Health Informatics in 2006, the first of its kind in the Middle East. For all his efforts and initiatives, Majid was awarded in 2008 the highest national medal from the King of Saudi Arabia in recognition of his achievements. Majid received his executive management training from Harvard Business School in 2012 and his PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1995.
