Mrs. Mubaraka Ibrahim, Director of information Technology Department at the Ministry of Health. Mrs. Mubaraka Ibrahim received her bachelor degree in computer science and Statistics. Later she earned her master Degree in information systems – Computer Science 2002 from American university in Washington DC - USA. Mubaraka currently is currently the Information Technology Director MOHAP, Her main responsibility focuses in setting strategic goals for the management of information technology and development of IT strategy and plans for the technical infrastructure thus automating services of all MOH facilities at the highest standards, this is to align with the objectives of the support services sector and thus supporting the Ministry's strategic objective of Entrench a culture of innovation in the institutional work environment. Mubaraka has been in the healthcare field since the start of her career and is also responsible for the selection, acquisition, development, maintenance and support of information technology for the Ministry. Mubaraka participated in many international, regional and local conferences as a keynote speaker in the field of health information systems and e-health systems management, such as the HIMSS conferences in America, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and has been awarded many awards for her efforts. As a leader in information technology in the field of health care by the Electronic Systems Management and Management Association (HIMSS). As well as being one of the first
members of this committee in the Middle East region (HIMSS MiddleEast) to complement its eHealth efforts in 2012 as one of the first IT managers in the country. Prior to this post she has served as the Information Technology Director and the Director of Health Data & Information Analysis at Dubai Health authority.
She is a member in the first batch of the Innovation Pioneers Program at the Ministry and is one of the first members of the HIMSS Middle East committee. She was entitled to the HealthCare IT Leader Hall Of Fame Award.
She was nominated for The Middle East Women Leadership Awards 2018.
