1. Course Overview
The Executive Certificate in Health Informatics offered by HIMSS Analytics Middle East examines the various types of Health Information Systems, Supporting Technologies, Interoperability Standards, and their roles in the healthcare eco-system.
This course is designed to provide participants with an overview of how hospitals can adopt and manage these technologies effectively to achieve a paperless environment. Strategies to utilize workflow re-engineering will also be discussed with the purpose to improve the quality of care though clinical decision support rules, alerts, and protocols at the point of care.

Dr. Adam CHEE
Dr. Adam CHEE brings 12 years of experience in strategy & operations, technology & workflow advisory, implementation & adoption of eHealth technologies across Asia Pacific and Middle East. Adam had a successful career in the IT industry before venturing into Health Informatics in 2002 and he worked across the healthcare ecosystem including the primary care sector, private & public tertiary hospitals, government health agencies and NGOs across the globe.
Adam serves on several Technical and Health Informatics committees including (but not limited to):
- Chair, HL7 Singapore
- Vice-President, AMBIS, Singapore (National Member Body of IMIA)
- National Delegation Member (Singapore) to ISO TC215, International
- Member, Special Committee (HIS Benchmarking), MOH, Malaysia
- Advisor, CPHIMS Technical Committee, HIMSS Inc., USA
A Fellow of Australasia College of Health Informatics (FACHI) and recognized Subject Matter Expert, Adam holds faculty positions at institutes of higher learning in the region, which included an Associate Professorship (Health Informatics), has published 3 books, numerous articles and frequently advises & speaks at international conferences.
