The two-day Conference & Exhibition co-organised by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Health and HIMSS Middle East was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh from 30 April to 1 May, 2013. The Conference concluded with success delivering views and insights into connected health from both national and international perspectives.
At the Global Leaders Roundtable on connected health chaired by HE Abdullah-Abdulaziz M. Al Rabeeah, MD, FRCS, Minister of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the distinguished panelists agreed on the recommendations to advance Connected Health as a global best practice.
International insights into the latest advances in HIT were presented by George Halvorson, Chairman and CEO Kaiser Permanente USA, and Dennis Giokas, Chief Technology Officer Canada Health Infoway Inc. Canada.
Four hospitals were honoured for achieving Stage 6 on the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) at the HIMSS Middle East EMRAM Awards Presentation. The hospitals were Al Ain Hospital, Al Rahba Hospital, Tawam Hospital and Madinat Zayed Hospital.
