Preconference Symposium

The Saudi eHealth Interoperability Framework and Policies - Update and Direction

This preconference session is a unique opportunity to understand the progress accomplished by the National Saudi eHealth Program in setting the KSA direction for nation-wide interoperability. This is a critical part of the strategy to deploy new healthcare IT systems as well as to upgrade the existing clinical systems to ensure an effective exchange of standardized and semantically rich health information. This session is a unique opportunity to interact with the Ministry of Health team in charge of this project, for IT architects and management of the Saudi healthcare organizations and vendors contributing to the deployment of nationally connected clinical systems.

The session will be organized as a workshop with ample time for question and answers, and will cover the following:

  1. The national strategy for standards-based interoperability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  2. Robust step-wise approach to setting standards, policies and deploying interoperability. The first 6 use cases.
  3. Establishing standards-based interoperability specifications, testing and certification for compliance.

The pre-conference Session will be held on Monday, April 29th from 14h00-17h00 at the Four Seasons Hotel, London Room.
