In 2007, Dr Faisal Al Hamar was appointed to Minister of Health by a Royal Decree. He has 32 years of service in the Ministry of Health and has held positions as a Biochemist in the Pathology Department; Chairman in Allied Health Division; Dean at College of Health Sciences; and from 2000 to present is a Member of the Board of Trustees, University of Bahrain. Dr Faisal Al Hamar has a PhD in Philosophy of Health Planning, a Master’s of Health Profession Education and a BSc and MSc in Chemistry and Clinical Biochemistry respectively.

Dr. Tawfik Khoja has overall 25 years experience in the medical field. As part of career development he has undertaken study in a variety of countries and educational institutions, including King Saud University, Riyadh, Royal College of General Practitioners London UK, Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom, The Royal College of Physicians of London.  He is registered as Adjunct Professor with Graduate College, Liberty Studies, University of Oklahoma – USA.  He has  an  extensive experience in  developing and implementing Primary Health Care, Family Community Medicine, Quality Assurance, in health care facilities; in the design & delivery of training programs in Occupational Health & Safety, OHS program design and policy writing.  He has quite good experience in running an organization technically, administratively and financially dealing with the ministries, as well as with other governmental organizations and public institutions, National and International organizations.

He is currently the Director General of Executive Board, Health Ministers’ Council for Cooperation Council States.

He received lately the Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians, Internal Medicine, United Kingdom.

Dr Yasir Khan

In addition to his role as Clinical Advisor, Dr.Khan is a physician by training who also holds a masters degree in software engineering. He was awarded a gold medal for his work on artificial intelligence. Much of Dr Khan’s training has been in the United Kingdom, where along with his clinical career; he also worked on a multibillion pound national program for e-health. He also served as a clinical lead with one of the leading consultancies for health informatics.

Dr Khan is a member of HIMSS, United Kingdom council of health informatics (UKCHIP) and the British Computer Society. His previous work includes exploring the potential of virtual reality for rehabilitation of neuro-psychological disorders.

Dr. Saadi Taher is the Executive Director of Medical Services, Saudi National Guard Health Affairs, Central Region, since 2001. He obtained the American Board certification in Internal Medicine in 1975 and American Board in Nephrology  in 1976. Dr. Taher received his degree from Baghdad University College of Medicine with Honors in 1963 and obtained his Diploma in Tropical Medicine Hygiene from the University of Edinburgh in 1968. He is a Fellow in Nephrology from the University of Colorado Medical Center, USA and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, United Kingdom.

Prior to joining King Abdulaziz Medical City, Dr. Taher held the positions of Senior Deputy Executive Director for Medical & Clinical Operations, Executive Director for Academic Affairs & Postgraduate Education, and Director for Hemodialysis Unit, at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 1982-2001. To date, he has authored 15 articles and presented 29 papers in international meetings.

Jay Srini is currently the Chief Innovation Officer for UPMC Insurance Services Division and is responsible for developing the methods, tools and strategies that result in innovative health care solutions and positive consumer experiences. She will leverage her experience in information technology, research and leadership to provide total solutions to a quickly evolving health care methodology.

For the past four years, Jay has held the position of Vice President of Emerging Technologies for UPMC providing strategic direction and input regarding emerging technologies and solutions to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Jay has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University and her executive education also includes the Kellogs School of Businessss. Jay serves on the Deans advisory board School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

Edgar “Ed” Mounibhas focused his career on strategy and information technology towards improving healthcare and public health. Mr. Mounib develops original, analytically-driven thought leadership and techniques to enable clients to realize business value.

Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Mounib served in positions of increasing responsibility in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. This included corporate strategy, product planning, market intelligence, and marketing roles and the titles of COO and Chief Epidemiologist. Mr. Mounib earned his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and MPH from Emory University.

As head of the computer department for more than 12 years, he oversees development activities and manages daily operations while meeting the organization’s mission and strategy goals.

Dr Al-Hashimi has been involved in many strategic projects and has assisted top management in a number of projects. His managerial, practical, and teaching experience covers a broad range of computer science programming, IT applications and decision-making approaches and system analysis and design.
