Education
The HIMSS MiddleEast09 education program begins with a full day symposium focusing on increasing presence of health insurance programs in the Gulf Region and how information technology links insurance programs with healthcare organisations. The one-day event will provide insight into regional/national insurance trends, integration between payer and provider, coding requirements, and specific national insurance projects lessons learned.
The second and third days of the conference will concentrate on the theme, "Healthcare IT and Management Excellence" with more than 30 education sessions - offered in three tracks: IT, Healthcare and Health IT Management and Clinical IT. The sessions are presented in a case study/best practices format through the practical use and application of health IT. Topics of regional interest include interoperability, health IT standards, project management, electronic medical records, data repositories, clinical information systems, business information systems, patient safety and much more.
